Neuss, 23 September 2014 - The addressable Compact loop control panel is designed for small and medium-sized objects with increased failure safety requirements. The automatic commissioning is accomplished without additional software tools. It features single address, 72 hour battery capacity, integrated fire brigade interfaces, and a large display; bus-fed detection is done via multifunction detectors and alarm devices. Transponder and interface modules provide the connection with special application detectors. There is also an additional status display of fire control systems (such as fire dampers).
The compact control panel is equipped ex factory with all important fire brigade interfaces (transmission units (TUs), fire brigade operation panels (FBOPs), fire brigade indication panels (FBIPs), fire control systems, relay out and in ports). Additional modules are not required. Simple commissioning goes without saying, as always. The loop configuration is read in automatically; the assignment of detector groups and short addresses is done automatically as well. A great variety of peripheral products is available: addressable, bus-fed detectors, multisensory detectors (when needed, also available with integrated signaling devices for flash, sounders, and speech), addressable detectors for Ex areas, IQ8Alarm bus-fed signaling devices with flash, sounders, and speech, manual call points (MCPs), detectors for special applications (UV/IR flame detectors, linear heat detectors, etc.). Radio technology allows for the wireless connection of automatic dire detectors (with or without signaling devices), of signaling devices, and of MCPs.
Whether as a stand-alone solution for public buildings or whether in combination with special components such as the FAAST aspirating system for application in production plants, the technology of the Compact fire alarm control panel stands out through its enormous range of applicability. With its integrated esserbus® Plus loop, all alarm and detection components of the IQ8Quad family can be utilized. This constitutes a clear advantage to fire alarm specialists, technicians, and installers, since only a short training period is needed for them to familiarize themselves with the functionality of the peripherals. Storage costs are minimized, and availability is guaranteed. The use of Compact therefore offers clear benefits in terms of time and of costs to all parties involved.
