The challenges of fire protection and controlled emergency evacuations in hospitals are numerous. Because many patients cannot move from the danger zone without outside assistance, the danger of a panic here is especially high. Also, the evacuation requires significantly more time than in other buildings - valuable time that can also delay the extinguishing of a fire by the fire brigades. An individual fire rescue concept with efficient escape routes and simultaneously optimal conditions for the fire department to fight the fire should prevent this.
