A decisive factor in the fire rescue concept of any administration building is the question of the local knowledge of the people to be found there. A general rule: The better known and more familiar the ways through the object are, the easier the controlled evacuation will take place during emergencies. Often objects of that kind are divided into public and non-public complexes and therefore require integrated fire rescue and access control. The additional integration of time recording, video surveillance and intrusion protection is not unusual.
To master the vast amount of accumulating information, office and administration buildings often accommodate special EDP rooms with large-scale computers and server farms. The preservation of the data saved there requires special attention. Often these EDP rooms are protected by highly sensitive aspirating smoke detection systems.
